A natural Ceylon sapphire of 0.9 ct in an oval cut, purplish pink in colour.
At the upper right of the crown there is a stained feather: a small natural fissure, reaching the girdle, with orange-brown iron staining that is visible face-up. We recommend setting the stone so that a prong protects that point, and avoiding ultrasonic cleaning.
This stone has not yet been examined by a gemmological laboratory, so its treatment status is not confirmed. An independent report can be arranged before purchase.
Mined at Téja's own pit at Horaketiya, Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, and cut in Sri Lanka.
Available to view in Colombo by appointment. Further images and video on request via WhatsApp.
