From our family's mine in Ratnapura

Ceylon sapphires and spinels from our own mine.

Most of our stones come from our family's pit at Horaketiya, Ratnapura. We mine, wash and sort them ourselves, and have them cut by master cutters in Sri Lanka. When we say a stone from our mine is unheated, we know, because we were there. Alongside them is a small, hand-picked selection of world stones, each clearly marked with its origin. What you see is the actual stone you'll receive.

How do I buy a stone from Téja?

Our stones are not sold through an instant checkout, because each one is unique. Send us an enquiry on WhatsApp or by email and we will reply with availability, the laboratory report where there is one, and the price. We can show you the stone on a live video call, or in Colombo by appointment, and then guide you through payment and delivery.

How is payment handled?

Payment is arranged privately once you confirm your choice. We accept bank transfer, a secure card payment link, or card or cash in person in Colombo.

How will my stone be delivered, and can I return it?

You can view and collect your stone in Colombo by appointment. For buyers outside Sri Lanka, international delivery is currently arranged case by case through a licensed exporter, fully insured and with the original laboratory report; import duties are paid by the buyer. Overseas buyers have 7 days from delivery to inspect the stone and return it for a refund. Full details are on our How to Buy page.

Are your stones certified?

Every stone we sell is natural. Many already carry a report from an independent laboratory, most from Bellerophon Gemlab, Paris, and the report number is shown on the listing. Stones from our own mine that don't have a report yet are unheated; we know because we mined them ourselves. An independent report from a lab of your choice (such as GRS, SSEF or GIA) can be arranged before purchase. Any heated stone is clearly marked as heated.

Is my personal information safe?

Absolutely. All enquiries and transactions are handled with strict confidentiality. Your personal and payment details are never shared or stored insecurely.
