Mined at Téja's own pit at Horaketiya, Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, and cut in Sri Lanka.
Bellerophon Gemlab, Paris, has identified it as a natural sapphire of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) provenance in vivid blue, report no. C02949, dated 8 October 2026, and notes that it may be called "Royal Blue" in the trade. The report, with a 360° video, can be verified at bellerophongemlab.com.
