A natural Ceylon sapphire of vivid yellow, the warm, saturated tone the trade calls golden. The 5.967 ct octagonal step cut is evenly coloured and transparent, with stable colour.
This stone has been heated. Bellerophon Gemlab records indications of heating and notes no other treatment. Heating is the long-established, permanent treatment used on most sapphire; we state it plainly so that the price reflects it.
A small brown crystal inclusion sits to the left of the table and is visible in the photograph, and fine needles show under magnification. We are glad to show the stone in hand.
Mined at Téja's own pit at Horaketiya, Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, and cut in Sri Lanka.
Bellerophon Gemlab, Paris, has identified it as a natural sapphire of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) provenance in vivid yellow, with indications of heating, report no. C02946, dated 8 October 2026, and notes that it may be called "Golden" in the trade. The report, with a 360° video, can be verified at bellerophongemlab.com.
